I live my life in this order. It is my love for nature and the outdoors that lead me to my OBSESSION with knives. Living in the heart of Colorado allows me every opportunity to put my creations to the test. Whether on an Elk hunt or just bush-craft camping in the High Country; I love applying the art of primitive survival.
It is my belief that as long as you have a good knife by your side, there is no obstacle the mountains will give you that you can’t overcome. That is why I forge my blades full tang with a minimum size of 4 inches, so that, when called upon, they will respond proudly.
My Father raised buffalo and horses and growing up with the Western Culture, for me, was a gift. This is why often you will see hints of the old west and rustic style in many of my hand made blades. I have been honored to be guided by Dan McNeil in the art of blacksmithing.
I believe that the uniqueness of each hand-forged knife expresses the personal relationship between metal and maker. Lastly, I am thankful for the opportunity to do what I love.
I’ve been blessed in life with my loving wife Amber Kohler who has motivated me to push my boundaries as a maker. I have traveled around the world and was trained by some of the best blade smiths I’ve ever known not only are they my teachers, but also my best friend Claudio Sorbral.
Amber Hargrove is a reality TV star, former US Army veteran, and survivalist, best known for her appearances on the hit Discovery Channel show Naked and Afraid. With a strong background in wilderness survival, primitive skills, and outdoor adventure, Amber has proven herself to be a force to be reckoned with in the most challenging of environments.
Born and raised in the great outdoors, Amber developed a deep respect for nature and a strong work ethic from a young age. Her military service instilled in her the discipline and resilience needed to thrive in extreme conditions, and her passion for survival skills has driven her to continually push herself to new heights.
On Naked and Afraid, Amber has down some of the toughest challenges imaginable, from navigating treacherous terrain to fending off deadly predators. Her resourcefulness, determination, and ability to stay focused under pressure have earned her a reputation as one of the show's most formidable contestants.
When she's not testing her limits on TV, Amber can be found sharing her knowledge and expertise with others, teaching wilderness survival skills and promoting a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Her inspiring story and infectious enthusiasm have made her a fan favorite, and her dedication to living life on her own terms is an inspiration to all who know her.
